Product Details
The Crown GLT-20, GLT-30, GLT-40, GLT-60, GLT-80, and GLT-100 are gas-fired, self-contained steam kettles with a double-wall interior that forms a steam jacket around the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The jacket is sealed with factory-distilled water for reliable and consistent steam generation. The interior is made from type 316 stainless steel, designed for high-acid content cooking, while the fully insulated exterior ensures efficient heat retention. The hemispherical kettle bottom allows for superior heat circulation for even cooking.
The recessed control panel is conveniently located on the front-right side of the unit, in full view of the operator. It includes standard controls such as a direct immersion thermostat, allowing for operation within a temperature range of 165°F to 275°F (74°C to 135°C) at 50 psi. Additional features include a water sight glass, cooking light, pressure gauge, and electronic ignition with an ignition indicator light.
Safety features include a low water shut-off with an indicator light, pressure switch, pressure relief valve, and a 100% safety gas shut-off valve, providing added protection during operation.
The kettle pivots on trunnions connected to the tilt mechanism and control consoles, allowing the kettle to tilt past 90° for complete emptying. The drip-proof stainless steel-clad consoles are supported by all-welded, 1-5/8” (41 mm) diameter stainless steel legs with flanged feet, ensuring secure placement and stability.
