The Crown GMT-6 and GMT-10 are gas-fired, self-contained steam kettles featuring a double-wall interior that forms a steam jacket around the lower two-thirds of the kettle, ensuring efficient heat distribution. The hemispherical bottom design enhances heat circulation for superior cooking performance. The interior is constructed with type 316 stainless steel, ideal for cooking high-acid content products.
These kettles are mounted on a cabinet base with a full perimeter angle frame and a reinforced counter. The base also includes a hot and cold water faucet with control valves, a 3” (76 mm) deep sink with drain, grate, and splash guard for added convenience. The gas boiler with controls is included, and the unit features hinged doors with magnetic catches and removable side panels for easy maintenance.
The kettles are equipped with stainless steel mounting legs, housing the steam supply and condensate within the legs. The right leg is fitted with a steam control valve, and the kettle is also fitted with a tilt handle and heat-resistant knob, allowing the kettle to tilt forward past 90° for complete emptying.
The unit is supported by 6” (152 mm) stainless steel legs with adjustable flanged feet for secure floor mounting. The entire kettle and boiler assembly are ASME code stamped and National Board registered, ensuring quality and compliance. The steam manifolds, concealed within the cabinet, are equipped with a safety relief valve and steam trap for each kettle.
Standard features also include a water treatment system, electronic ignition, CSD-1 boiler controls, and a split water line.
