Product Details
The Crown GSX-10HE and GSX-16HE convection steamers are equipped with individual gas steam generators for each compartment. The GSX-10HE features two compartments, each holding 5 pans, while the GSX-16HE has two compartments, each holding 8 pans. Both units are constructed from satin-finish type #304 stainless steel, with a one-piece all-welded cooking chamber made from #316 stainless steel with coved corners for easy cleaning.
The heavy-duty doors are designed with an inner stainless steel liner, full perimeter gasket seal, outer welded stainless steel liner, and a positive lock and seal mechanism with spring release. Each compartment includes removable stainless steel pan supports, and a stainless steel drip trough is integrally connected to the drain to collect condensate when the doors are opened.
The control housing is constructed of stainless steel and includes a fully accessible removable panel. Each compartment has independent controls, including an illuminated three-way power switch (ON/OFF/Delime), pilot ready light, pilot cooking light, ignition light, and a 60-minute electric timer that sounds an audible signal when the cooking cycle ends. The units feature solid-state generator controls and electronic ignition for each generator. Steam flow is automatically cut off when the door is opened and reactivated once the door is closed.
The steamers are mounted on a 24” stainless steel cabinet base for the GSX-10HE and a 36” cabinet base for the GSX-16HE, both equipped with exterior hinged doors and adjustable flanged feet for secure floor mounting. The cabinet houses the generator(s), automatic blowdown, and drain box.
