The Crown convection steamers feature two tilting kettles on a modular steam coil boiler base. The unit is constructed from satin finish type 304 stainless steel, with a one-piece, all-welded type 316 stainless steel cooking chamber.

The doors have a removable inner stainless steel liner, full perimeter gasket seal, and one-piece all-welded stainless steel outer liner with a positive lock and seal mechanism. It includes removable stainless steel pan supports and a stainless steel drip trough that connects to a drain to collect condensate when the door is opened.

Each compartment’s control housing is constructed from stainless steel with a fully removable side access panel. The controls feature an illuminated on/off power switch, pilot ready light, pilot cooking light, and a 60-minute electric timer with an audible signal at the end of the cooking cycle. Steam flow to the chamber is interrupted when the door is opened and reactivated once the door is closed.

The cabinet base with steam coil boiler includes a full perimeter painted angle frame, reinforced counter, and boiler mountings. Hinged doors with a magnetic latch and 6” (152 mm) stainless steel legs with 4 adjustable flanged feet secure the unit to the floor.

Boiler controls feature automatic water level control, pressure gauge, water gauge glass, operating pressure control, safety high-limit pressure control, and a safety relief valve. The unit is equipped with a water treatment system, split water line, CSD-1 boiler controls, and automatic blowdown. It is ASME code stamped, National Board registered, c-CSA-us, and NSF certified.
