How to add your tax exemption certificate

In compliance with marketplace facilitator laws in the United States, Middleby.com collects and remits sales tax on orders placed through shop.middleby.com.

If you or your organization is qualified to purchase tax-exempt goods from a specific state/jurisdiction, please follow the following steps to claim tax exempt status:

  • Log on to your account at shop.middleby.com (if you do not have an account, create an account by clicking on “Register” at the shop.middleby.com home page).
  • Go to “My Account” and select “Tax Exemption” on the left side of the screen.
  • Click the “Add Tax Info” button. In the dialog box, please select the proper state/jurisdiction for the exemption that you are claiming and click “Proceed”.
  • Follow the subsequent prompts to enter taxpayer/organization information, select reason for tax exemption, and import of applicable tax exemption certificate/document. Once all prompts are completed, select “Save and Continue”.
  • Tax exemption requests are routed to Middleby.com personnel for review and verification within 24 hours of submission. An email notification will be sent once verified.
  • After verification, any subsequent applicable orders placed on Middleby.com will reflect the tax-exempt status (Note: sales tax exemptions must be verified through shop.middleby.com prior to any exemptions being applied - sales tax charged on any orders placed prior to tax exemption verification will not be refunded).
